This one’s for my workaholic gals!
With National Foodie Day not too far behind us, you’re probably wondering who to thank this time of year. Sometimes, though, you just have to thank YOU. In the midst of a hectic schedule and the madness that is emerging adulthood, it’s hard to put yo’self first. I have been in the “Energizer Bunny” mode since January…I’d like to think the bags under my eyes are Chanel. However, I truly cannot complain. I constantly describe my gratitude for the fam and friends supporting me on my journey of growth. Self-love and self-care is a MAJOR necessity to such a journey, yet I have never thanked myself.
Yo-bad-self has made conscious decisions, like going to school, getting a job, and pushing through some obstacles along the way. In doing so, you are ensuring that your future-self will have progressed. While it is a given that it’s important to recognize and thank the people around you with all that TLC, it is also crucial to acknowledge the fact that you got yourself to where you are now, so that you can continue to keep g(r)o(w)ing!
It is practically impossible to think about Thanksgiving without thinking about the glorious day that follows. We shopaholics know how much work goes into shopping, however let’s think about those who stood at the other side of the cash register this year!!! The AdrinaRose Media team extends a big THANK YOU to the readers who need to work retail this holiday season. It is definitely not pleasant having to leave Thanksgiving dinner early to make it to your shift, but all in all, in doing what you do, you are helping others to live fashionably!
We, at AdrinaRose Media, want to ensure that you treat yourself this szn. It’s not too late! Get a group of friends to thank each other, and yourselves! Go for a mani-pedi sesh to catch up with someone you haven’t seen in a while, take the day to read for leisure, or play hookie for an extra day off over your next break! You deserve it, girl.
