*Hold Your Horses*

Mint julep, big hats, and bow ties…it can only mean one thing: The Kentucky Derby is here!!! This past weekend the horses and bets flew, the people cheered, and the preppy vibe filled the Kentucky atmosphere!

Celebs were scattered among the crowd, including Lady Antebellum, Kate Upton, and Adrian Grenier. Lady Antebellum sang the Natational Anthem beautifully! Kate Upton represented bebrightpink, an organization that brings awareness to breast and overian cancer. And Adrian, well he needed our help to pick which horse to bet on!

Besides the wonderful celebs, the Derby was filled from head to toe in big hats and pearls. Between Lilly Pulitzer and J. Crew with a pair of Jack Roger sandals, the event was full of southern prep sass!

Lastly, the winning horse was Nyquist, which wasn’t a huge surprise considering how well he was doing throughout the Derby. Now, he is off to the Triple Crown in a few weeks and we have our bets on him!

That’s the face of a #KyDerby champion! : Coady Photography
