Designer bags are always a must… except for when they’re hanging from your eyes. Before you start your day, take a rest, whip out these 7 foods, and place them on your eyes to rid yourself of the horrid dark circles.

Cucumber Slices

This isn’t just a spa myth, they actually work! Since cucumbers are packed with water they hydrate the skin while any inflammation and discoloration settles with the vitamin K. Just slice ‘em up and slam ‘em on.

Potato Slices

Almost as good as cucumber slices! Just be sure to chill them, as they even stay cooler longer.

Parsley

Teeming with vitamins C and K, this veggie makes your skin brighter and a lot less puffy. Chop it up and mix the leafy green with some hot water. Apply this concoction to your eyes a few times a week and bam, you’ll start to notice a difference.

Avocado Slices or Face Mask

Doing away with dark circles means doing away with dry skin. Moisturize the delicate under-eye area with avocado slices. OR make a mask with mashed avocados and a tablespoon of almond oil. Leave it on for 10 minutes, and then rinse.

Turmeric Mask

This spice has been the hidden gem for decades until now! To reduce puffiness and lighten shadows, utilize the anti-inflammatory curcumin found naturally in turmeric. Create a paste by mixing it with pineapples juice and applying it for 10 minutes. Wash away with a warm cloth, but be careful with your eyes!

Tea Bags

Little did you know that caffeine can not only work wonders on the inside but on the outside as well! Steep a cup of tea, let them cool in your fridge for 20 minutes, and place the bags on your own bags to shrink blood vessels and lighten shadows.

Milk Soak

What is milk NOT good for? Let the lactic acid, proteins, amino acids, and antioxidants do work on your skin by making a cold compress with cold milk. Soak cotton balls and let them rest on your eyes for 10 minutes, then rinse after.
